Description

Couch Zombies!

That's the Web cartoon we're working on, and here is the third character sculpt I've done based on Gerry Elgart-Fail's excellent character designs. This is Zombie Gerry, who is based on Gerry and a bit of an homage to Cosmo Kramer.

Couch Zombies is a series about four zombies who live in an apartment building full of the undead. They love, laugh, play, eat (mostly brains), and are incomprehensible to humans.

We're working on the first episode now. Meanwhile, check out the vlogs I've been posting to the Couch Zombies channel, and subscribe so you won't miss the show!

You can read about the behind-the-scenes work and more on the blog:

Also, check the links in the blog sidebar. Each of the four main characters has his or her own blog, written IN character.

Enjoy!

On the subject of zombies...

I've been wanting to write a novel about Bodacious Creed, the undead gunslinger from my demo reel, for awhile now. I'm creating a Kickstarter project now so that I can afford to write and publish his story.

The Facebook fan page is here: [link]

If you like Steampunk, zombies, the Wild West, or horror, you'll love this.

Lovin' it. As you're modeling these, it may be a good idea to exaggerate the designs and make them even cartoonier. Having a stronger contrast between the character designs also helps to better differentiate between the them. Since this is a cartoon, we can take more liberties with the designs. Example: You could place Zombie Gerry's face even lower on his head to better distinguish him from Zombie Steve. It's cool that Gerry has more angular features than Steve. Zombie Jon could have a larger jawline, making his head sort of an upside-down triangle.

Same goes with the bodies, too. Skinny, husky, muscular, round, angular, tiny, huge.

You're doing great so far. I think these will really come in handy for reference. :w00t:
